The Golden Age is Alessandra Puppola’s new exhibition, featuring eight paintings, on view at lineadacqua gallery in Venice until 28 July 2025 and curated by lineadacqua.

Puppola’s works are at once delicate and powerful visions, born from the observation of the natural world around her, but also from a deep connection with an inner, more irrational realm, one she listens to and allows her to express freely.

At the heart of her paintings are often children with deep, penetrating gazes, as if they are trying to share a secret still out of reach. To grasp it, the only path is that of imagination: letting go, approaching the world through the eyes of a child, still untouched by the structures of adulthood, capable of perceiving purity and magic in every corner of existence.

Nature is a constant and essential presence in Puppola’s artistic journey, embodying the fundamental principle of non-separation. For the artist, human beings are not superior entities, but part of a greater whole, interconnected with animals, plants, and all forms of life.

This explains why children become powerful symbols and conduits in her work: still open, unburdened by social constructs, they are able to embrace fantasy as if it were life itself. Through their gaze, the artist invites us to rediscover a poetic and authentic vision of the world.
